Wow

What a GD CK. Theres only one way to get closer than that - and that is a GD PLAYOFF.

CK started early Saturday in what seemed like a different city. After Jim Goddard teed off with a persimmon and a hickory (that exploded) we were off and running. Falco's force controlled the play over at Dova with 2.5 out of 3 points. Luckily Eag/Hound and Ram/Tort were able to secure points at VEEJ for Bob's Bros to keep the opening session close. FF 3.5 to 2.5
After we were all reunited (and it felt so good) with some Lunch and Bronsons - the afternoon sesh was ready to go. Some new partnerships formed, and some old trustys were kept together. The ones that kept together all won (Eag/Hound + Ram/Tort for Bobs bros & Eel/Jav and Yahk/Pand for FF) a big 2 points on 18 by Falco/Hedge to saw off their match clinched another 3.5 to 2.5 session dub.
So it was now 7 to 5 heading into Sunday Singles.
A vibe was HAD on Saturday night by many at the Beest Bar & Grill.
Luckily our times were not until 1p, so plenty of time to shake off any cobwebs.

Bobs Bros came out FIRING on Sunday lead by Eag and Mish with convincing victories - it was tied up 7-7 just like that. After a big comeback by the captain - BB took their first lead. A big pivotal putt on 17 by Herron lead him to a 1 up victory. Back to 8-8. The next point was secured by Pand's dominating performance. 9-8 FF. BIg comeback by Hodge got them up 10-8. Mole hung on real TUCO to make it 10-9. Ram and Tort kept their vibes going and won to make it 11-10 BB...shortly there after Pup secured his 3-0 CK and more importantly made it 11-11. 2 matches left. WOW. everyone watching. Owl and Jav both made almost fed on 17 ,and then real great GRINDY pars from both sides of the fringe on 18 to halve their match. 11.5 to 11.5!! Pardon?!?
SO it was down to ELON hammer and Ol Stinky Yahk. Both courageous up and downs on 16 and Yahk stayed 1 up. Elon big FED on 17 to square it up. Elon over on 12 and hit a courageous shot that didn't quite hook enough and ended up in jail right of green...yahk solid (thump thump) drive and solid approach and the Kup was clinched!!
Unbelievable drama
Some great golf was played and more importantly an unmatched VIBE was had.

Couple notes:
Falco joins Fawn, Moose, and Bobcat as the only animals to win as captain in their very first CK
Bobcat joins Eagle and Yahk as the only captains to both win and lose a CK. (still no 2-time winning captain)
Tort (Mr.CK ) has his second 3-0 CK, joining Beest as the only other animal to do it.
4 3-0 CKs (Pup, ram, tort, eag) is a new record including the first time there was multiple on the losing squad.
