Some ppl just dominate at a particular location/surface. Add EAG at NANNERS to that LIST.
Eag started his tourney off with a trip-daddy on 1. That would ruin most ppl's nanners - for Eag - "kevin", shrugs it off and goes to shoot 70 and have the only GUP of the tourney. The other big round of the day was Llama who's never seen the course before and shoots 74 to get the only NUP of the tourney. So eag lead by 4 after round 1.
Round 2 was the toughest of the days - Eag shot Level to increase his lead to a whopping 10 over Do, Eel, and Strich......So it was pretty much a coast job after that for Eag to get his 6th level and 9th MAJ.
INMATE battle was A LOT MORE EXCITING. Round 1 was the beest/wolf show. Matching 97s made it seem like a 2 horse race. But after an all-nighter and a SERIOUS VIBE on day 2, there were whispers that Hawk would be coming back to the 2 man pack. Sure enough - 98!! Which tied him with wolf after 2 rounds - with beest 3 in the clear.
Round 3 - wolf grabbed the 'lead' early but smoothed things out midway through the round. After his first fed of the tourney on 12 - he was able to put some distance between him and the black beauty.
Beest had a real nice front 9 after a towel incident on 2. (more on that later) Seemed as though he was going to coast from there but a trip daddy on 15 and trip daddy on 17 (while hawk parred both) meant we had a tie ball game going into 18. This is when my party beest turned off the music and got serious. Both hit nice drives. both hit DEESE approach shots. Hawk was in a bit tougher spot on the back fringe, while beest was front right fringe. Straight up hill putt to almost gimmie range. Hawk had a lot of break to play and it was deceptively downhill. He hit a pretty good putt, but just had a little too much mustard on it and rolled all the way down to the bottom which SEALED the DEAL.
Congrats to Mole was tossed out 3 respectable mid to high 70s to win his first NET level. Llama contended but had a bit of a rough round 2. Eag/Mole/Llama all went 3-0 in HIST as well.
Another unreal Nanners boys. 13 in the books now. Was real nice to be back in the longhouse with Spirits permission. No complaints from Auntie Marilee this year. Grandma said she didn't hear a peep. Got to love that 93 year old hearing. She's the best. Always loves to have us up.
